 Shipping containers are so versatile they can be converted into a range of modular units including offices, shops, workrooms, stores and a wide variety of accommodation. In addition to these conversions, containers are built specifically for domestic applications. Ordinarily they are cheaper to rent or purchase than freight containers as they do not have to comply with ISO or CSC specifications or regulations. Cargostore stocks a full range of both original non-ISO storage containers and conversions.
Containers from as small as 6ft (1.84m) long to 45ft (13.83m) in Europe (53ft (16.28m) in North America) can be provided. Double door or tunnel containers, with a pair of doors at both ends, are particularly useful for static storage facilities as an internal wall can separate two units and the length of each section can be varied according to requirements. Double door containers are available in both 20ft (6m) and 40ft (12m) sizes. Reefer storage units of any length to 45ft can be built to order from former shipping containers. Smaller units, often 10ft long, are especially useful for confined areas or where access to larger delivery vehicles is restricted.
